If passenger not wearing helmet
Carrying a passenger without a helmet results in a fine of €35–€50 for the rider.
If riding without a valid licence
Operating without the correct motorcycle/moped licence can result in fines up to €2,180.
If riding under alcohol influence (≥0.5‰)
Alcohol levels of 0.5‰ or more lead to fines between €300–€5,900 and licence suspension.
If riding under heavy alcohol influence (≥1.6‰)
High alcohol levels result in maximum fines up to €5,900 and longer suspension periods.
